Man often suffers loss through lack of appreciation

By Ron | February 15, 2008

Here is an excerpt from the great book - The Game of Life - And How To Play It. This section is dealing with relationships, but it applies to all parts of your life. Be mindful what you say and think.

Suffering is not necessary for man’s development; it is the result of violation of spiritual law, but few people seem able to rouse themselves from their “soul sleep” without it. When people are happy, they usually become selfish, and automatically the law of Karma is set in action. Man often suffers loss through lack of appreciation.

I knew a woman who had a very nice husband, but she said often, “I don’t care anything about being married, but that is nothing against my husband. I’m simply not interested in married life.”

She had other interests, and scarcely remembered she had a husband. She only thought of him when she saw him. One day her husband told her he was in love with another woman, and left.

She came to me in distress and resentment.

I replied, “It is exactly what you spoke the word for. You said you didn’t care anything about being married, so the subconscious worked to get you unmarried.”

She said, “Oh yes, I see. People get what they want, and then feel very much hurt.”

She soon became in perfect harmony with the situation, and knew they were both much happier apart.

A Lesson In Defeat…

By Ron | February 14, 2008

Just today I experienced a good lesson in temporary defeat. It does no good to discuss these types of matters however I am choosing to for the purposes of illustration.

A “meaningless defeat” is very easy to label as failure. By meaningless I am referring to something going wrong but yet no outcome was ever established. The defeat has no value so it is simply viewed as a failure or bad luck.

A “meaningful defeat” is one that is encountered while pursuing a worthy and predetermined goal. This defeat does not sit next to failure and is not in vain.

Not to say that the previous is in vain; it is simply unattractive to analyze it’s hidden benefit because of it’s lack of intent, randomness, and ambiguity.

A meaningful defeat is an invaluable lesson when pursuing a goal that has absolute clarity. It is easy to analyze it’s meaning because it’s message talks at a different frequency with which you are now in tune.

I am pursuing my dream and was turned down by a potential investor today who is a a former mentor. And to my shocking surprise, he turned me down rudely and with borderline arrogance.

Do you know what’s strange? It didn’t bother me one bit. This even shocked the hell out of me! Normally, in this situation I would be pissed, vindictive, competitive, and would probably feel sorry for myself. NOT ANYMORE.

NEXT……

Bring on the next obstacle, and sooner rather than later!!

Have clarity….
Take action…..
Remain focused…

And above all remember….. temporary defeat is not failure. That door was simply locked. Try another one.

All the best
