Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the U.S. I thought I would share a message I just received from Rhonda Byrne creator of The Secret. Below is an excerpt from The Secret Daily Teachings, which is being released in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia on December 9th.
This excerpt presents an easy way to start using gratitude and integrate it into your life by making every Thursday “Thank You Thursday.” As you “Thank your way through every Thursday” you will open the most powerful receiving channel within you.

“Today is Thank You Thursday. Today and every Thursday is your day to say and feel “Thank you” in as many ways as you can.
Write a list of all the people and events you want to give thanks for.
Return thanks today to those who have done things for you.
As you walk say “Thank you” in your mind with each step you take.
As you drive, make each time you stop your cue to say “Thank you.”
At various times in the day, think and feel “Thank you” inside you seven times in a row.
Look for every opportunity to say “Thank you” to other people, and say it with so much meaning that the person looks right at you.
Thank your way through every Thursday, and make “Thank you” your predominant thought, feeling, and words of the day.
“Thank you” – two words, inconceivable potential power, and all they need is you to put the power into them by expressing them.

Many suggest that luck is something you do. I often tell my patients that what we focus upon tends to become our reality, because we will likely do things, both consciously and unconsciously, consistent with that focus, in order to help make it happen. By sharing my following, personal story, I hope you may be helped to find what you are truly looking for.
When my son was a 6 year-old, Nicholas told me that he wanted to find a four-leaf clover, because he had heard that they bring you good luck. Unable to find one quickly, he became frustrated and discouraged. I tried to explain to him that four-leaf clovers are special because they are rare and difficult to find. I assured him that if he really wants to find a four-leaf clover that he needs to really believe and know that he can. I helped emphasize to him that as you feel it to be true, you can and will do things and allow things to happen, in order to help you find your clover. I had actually first suggested to him what seemingly defeats my son’s initial intent: I told Nicholas that we could see whether we could find a four-leaf clover on the Internet. We found one on Ebay. After a couple of dollars and a few days, Nicholas had his four-leaf clover from New Zealand. After receiving it, however, he looked at me and said: But, Daddy, I want to find my own four-leaf clover (which, of course, is the whole point).
After again getting frustrated while looking in our front yard, that is when I told Nicholas about the power of his own belief.Shortly after that time, almost without even seemingly trying, he had literally found at least two dozen four-leaf clovers!I have only recently discovered that within Rhonda Byrne’s best-selling book, Ths Secret, she states that children seem to be particularly atoned to the concepts contained within her inspirational message. Her basic tenant is that the things upon which we focus tend to become our reality, as we allow things to happen and do things, consistent with this structured focus, in order to manifest our desires.
“The Secret” emphasizes the power inherent within the “Law of Attraction.” Although all the ideas shared within this remarkable program are not necessarily based in science, one can nonetheless benefit from acting as if the ideas are all-true, in order to facilitate success. I believe that the true wisdom of “The Secret” is its ability to captivate a world’s imagination, by offering its heartfelt reminder of the true nature of limitless possibilities and the power of human perseverance.

I love Oprah, but I have to say I completely missed out on the secert cos she is shown here in the afternoon and I had to collect my son and head off to work so I missed her for a good year or so, but I like to encourage my kids to read alot. SO IT WAS AFTER ONE OF MY SONS PARENT TEACHER MEETINGS AND TO REWARD HIM FOR A GOOD REPORT I FOUND MYSELF IN THE BOOKSHOP AS USUAL HIS REWARD WHEN I WAS DRAWN TO THIS BOOK WHERE AS USUALLY I’d be got up in his choice anyhow I bought it for myself a huge step all mothers will understand it was 14.99. I didn’t read it straight away but when I did it was like meeting an old friend. We were quiet poor growing up but I used visualalize money in our phone booth on the way home twice i found 50 pounds and once i found 120 this was alot of money so much so that my mother thought I was stealing. Once before I went to school my mother told me she had a bill I prayed all night I’d find 50 pounds I pictured myself findin 50 in the street and I did!!!! My mother didn’t ask but she did lecture and begged me to tell her my gran gave it to me we left it at that over the years.
I wanted and pictured my husband as a kind hard workin man I pictured us livin happily and contently in the country with beautiful children and guess what here we are there have been hiccups like the first time we went to buy our house our mortgage was turned down at the last minute, but three years later when we had a house to sell there we were in a much better position and I went out driving and saw our house back up for sale so I think i have been living the secret all my life unbeknown to myself.
Thank god and now my next dream is to pay off my mortgage before I am forty!!!!!!

The secret does not seem to have brought happiness to some of those involved in the creation of “The Secret.” But perhaps high-priced lawyers will help.
This popular straight-to-video movie, and the best-selling self-help book based on it, promise that adherents to its philosophy will receive “unlimited happiness, love, health and prosperity,” according to the official Web site, thesecret.tv. All they need do is follow “the law of attraction,” an ancient principle that holds that the universe will make your wishes come true if only you really, truly believe in them. Following that creed before the movie’s release in 2006, Rhonda Byrne, the project’s creator, held parties celebrating its success, envisioning worldwide acclaim.
Nasty legal squabbling is most likely not what Ms. Byrne wished for. But it has nevertheless come to her: the director of the movie and the developer of the “Secret” Web site are separately [...]
