I am or was a new artist in the music scene. The last 3 years have been the worst years of my life. Unfortunately, I decided to turn music into a career during this time. Before music, i had a normal life with a 9-5 living in the nicest neighborhood in the city. After going abroad, I decided to “simplify” my life and eliminate the glam. Moving back to the U.S. I decided to pursue music full time. Have an album out that can’t compete with any other album on the market and have poored all of my finances into my career. Only with nothing to show for it. My mother brought me home “The Secret” book today because she heard me mention it 3 weeks ago. I felt this was the universe sending me a message. I’m half way finished with the book and up until this point have decided to leave music.

I have a milestone birthday coming up this month, I have debt, no money to celebrate, no money from music, no boyfriend no anything, and I’m living with a parent now. Work opportunites has recently brough my partner and I to a town where we have been repeatedly told it is near impossible to get a rental property. After watching The Secret we decided to apply it to getting the house we wanted within one month. A house we quite liked came up and we focused all our energies on getting the lease. I met the agent several times so that she knew us, and we submitted an immaculate application offering 3 months rent in advance and focused on making this house ours. We arrived in this town on the 10th March, and signed the lease for our ideal house on the 10th April!

I heard of “The Secret” on the cable news. I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and was facing losing my job, insurance, and rental home. I went out and got the book.

I immediately poured my whole heart into visualizing myself healthy. The next day, I got the news that my cancer had not spread, that I can go use a house my family owns in California that unexpectedly just became empty, that I wil have health care provided free of charge there, and instead of being angry when I told my boss I was having to leave without notice, I instead got three weeks of unexpected pay added onto my final check.

I kept visualizing every day that we recieved a check from the IRS. The form usually takes an additional 8 weeks for the IRS to process. I called the IRS and I knew there was an offset against us, the IRS told me so. Well… not only did we get our refund in 3 weeks, but they said there wasn’t an offset so we got the FULL tax return!
