Don't lose hope. I too am a musician that did about the same thing you did at 36 years old with similar effects. My band started in Oct 3rd 2005 and in 9 months made it to the First (and last) Annual James Brown musicfest. The band fizzled away days after that last performance and its been uphill ever since owing to the financial expenditure that I am STILL trying to recover from. Read the book, indulge in it and be merciful to yourself. Remember, it took you a lifetime to learn the way you think and perceive things. Miracles WILL happen, though it may take time. DO NOT focus on the ABSENCE of what you have, but re arrange your thoughts to abundance. Easier said then done I know, I fight depression every day and its hard. But listen Abby... I am a recovering alcoholic and drug addict. I am also bi-polar. By all accounts I should not be here and according to the "statistics" will not be here much longer the closer I get to my 40th birthday. I USE this system EVERYDAY and it WORKS! I have a new lease on life and a new way of looking at things and I AM A MIRACLE! Don't give up! Yes some days are harder than others, employment is still a pain in the you know what but it is only now that I see the erroneous perception of life that has taken me a lifetime to learn. UN-learning it may take some time, dismantling concepts one by one but this system of thought is WONDERFUL! Little by little I am piecing together the fragments of a life spent poorly, and every day I see a miracle of how it works. Please, I KNOW the pain you are going through. Don't give up. Have faith, BELIEVE. Do are NOT a waste of time nor is life. Have faith. Take care, this really is a wonderful ride. We just have to work on the road we have built to travel on, thats all.
